Shit just got real: This week 22 of 27 EU countries signed the international anti-piracy treaty ACTA.  (tl;dr: It's like SOPA, only worse. And international: The US, Canada and Japan are among those who signed it as well.)

BUT the European Parliament still has to vote over the issue for ACTA to take effect, and that's where we can take action: Here you can search for members of the EP: [link] Write those people e-mails, send them letters, or even call them.

To all citizens of the European Union who are reading this: Inform all of your country's MEPs about the dangers of ACTA!
To all those who live outside the European Union: Mail those people anyway! Remind them that ACTA will have consequences of a global scale!

Remember, when contacting parliamentarians, stay calm, polite and reasonable. Inform them about your concerns, inform them about the dangers of ACTA and how it values copyright over freedom of expression. Many MEPs are still sceptical about this treaty and we have to convince them to say NO!
